With a minor in environmental health and safety (EHS), you will gain the skills needed to keep people, property and the environment safe. This minor is available to complement other majors in the School of Health Sciences and other programs, such as environmental health, human resource development, engineering, biology or chemistry. The program allows you to complete a Master of Science in safety management (MSSM) in about one calendar year after completing a Bachelor of Science in environmental health and safety. The Master of Science in Safety Management (MSSM) focuses on occupational safety, health and environmental issues in the workplace. Develop the analytical tools and skills necessary for making sound health and safety decisions in the public domain, industry and business through an effective balance of health and safety classes, business administration coursework, and meaningful applications through safety-related case studies.
