Academic Advising

Academic advising is an ongoing partnership between the student and adviser, empowering students to plan for their academic success.
The  First Year Advising Center is the first stop for all incoming first-year students and undecided transfers. Students beyond their first year in college work with the advising unit of their academic program. Each school and the college at Oakland University house their own professional academic advising office. View the Find My Academic Adviser web page to determine which advising office you will be visiting.

Explore new heights your degree can take you by viewing the Oakland University Career Tool, which provides detailed information including your major checklist, degree plan and potential career options.
