**There will be no In-person tutoring for Friday, January 23 due to inclement weather. Regular tutoring will resume on Monday, January 26. SI and Academic Coaching will be held virtually, if possible. Please check with your leader/coach.**

Welcome to the Academic Success Center (ASC)! It’s our mission to help all students at Oakland University succeed as they pursue their degree. You are invited to visit our location in Wilson Hall for tutoring, to meet with a coach, or just to study overlooking Bear Lake or in a quiet study room. We also host supplemental instruction and study groups.

>> [MUSIC] Hey all. Welcome to the Academic Success Center.

Formerly known as the Tutoring Center,

the ASC is a welcoming environment that offers

free services to help support your academic success.

Not to mention, we have a fantastic view.

What exactly can you do at the ASC?

On a typical day, you will find your peers visiting

a tutor to get help for a class or to prepare for an exam.

Our tutors are fellow students who understand

your struggles and can guide you from their experiences.

Or you might find students studying together in a small group

led by trained student staff who have taken the course.

You can also attend Supplemental Instruction,

which are organized study sessions for more difficult courses.

Additionally, the ASC offers one-on-one appointments

with our professional staff if you want to improve your study habits,

learn time management techniques,

improve organization, reduce test-taking anxiety, and much more.

If you live in the residence halls,

we have dedicated team members who understand

the unique needs of living on campus and balancing class work.

Our team includes student leaders and

professional staff who are ready to answer questions or show you around.
