Mission Statement

The Oakland Center is a welcome, inclusive environment offering services for Oakland University students, the campus community, and guests regionally, nationally and globally. As a center of activity, the Oakland Center provides gathering spaces, social opportunities, student learning and development, and lifelong memories.

Vision Statement

The Oakland Center strives to be the preferred destination on campus and a recognized regional and national leader for premiere customer service, facility operations, events, and co-curricular environment.

As the student center on campus, the Oakland Center is a great place to meet people, hang out between classes or grab a bite to eat. Stop by for your books, GrizzCard, or learn about more than 250 student organizations at Oakland University.

Situated in the heart of Oakland County, just off I-75, the Oakland Center, on the campus of Oakland University, is the ideal location for your next meeting, conference, reception or special event. The center of student life on campus, the Oakland Center offers you a convenient gathering location with a connection to tomorrow’s leaders.

Boasting 145,000 square feet of meeting and event space, modern technological capabilities (including wireless Internet access) and a central location near Oakland University’s two 18-hole championship golf courses, the area’s businesses, sports and entertainment venues and accommodations. The Oakland Center is a great place to meet and can accommodate groups both small and large.
