Family Nurse Practitioner Admissions Requirements

The FNP program prepares the advanced practice nurse as a primary care provider for clients from pregnancy to end of life in a variety of settings. The curriculum focuses on culturally sensitive care, incorporating health promotion and management of episodic and chronic health problems across the lifespan. After completion of a full time or part plan of study graduates are prepared to take the FNP certification exam offered by ANCC or AANP.

Applicants do not submit an online Oakland University Graduate Application.  A completed application and required materials must be submitted through the Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS).  Information and instructions for applying through the NursingCAS can be found at the School of Nursing website.
