COVID-19 Information and Policies

The School of Nursing is working together with many units on campus to ensure safety in the classroom, lab, and clinical setting while providing you the best, highest quality education supported by faculty fully committed to student success.


If you think you have been exposed to COVID or have COVID-related symptoms, please follow all of the steps below.


Notify Graham Health Center (health@oakland.edu) and complete the OU Student Daily Health Screening Form by logging into MySAIL.
Notify soncovid@oakland.edu and complete the OU SON Student COVID Exposure Form: https://forms.gle/srUCz11PuLe96H1FA.
Review the “SON Undergraduate COVID-19 Protocol for Class, Lab, and Clinical” or the “SON Graduate COVID-19 Protocol for Class, Lab, and Clinical” on this page of the SON website.

If you think you have been exposed to COVID or have symptoms of COVID, Graham Health Center offers low-cost COVID testing. They can be reached by phone at (248) 370-2341 or by email at health@oakland.edu for more information.

It is very important to review OU Expectations for Students in Isolation /Quarantine from the Dean of Students and Infection Prevention Control Committee. It also includes useful OU campus resources.
