Student Leadership Opportunities

Expand your involvement on campus with Leadership Opportunities through the Dean of Students Office. We are always looking for students who are interested in serving as Student Representatives on the Academic and Non-Academic Misconduct Committees:

  • University Conduct Committee (UCC) which determines outcomes involving alleged Non-Academic misconduct and
  • Academic Conduct Committee (ACC) which determines outcomes involving alleged Academic misconduct.

Students who serve as committee members have the opportunity to connect with professors, peers, and staff while elevating the student perspective in the disciplinary process.

Candidate Eligibility

  • Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Students must have no prior OU conduct history in order to be considered
  • Selected students will be required to attend a training session before becoming a committee member

Oakland University (OU) students are expected to practice civility and uphold the highest standards of academic and personal integrity. OU’s community values are reflected in the Student Code of Conduct (SCC). The purpose of the SCC is to assist in creating an educationally supportive environment and to protect the well-being of the campus community. The conduct system provides a timely and orderly process for investigation and adjudication of alleged Academic and Non-Academic Misconduct. The Dean of Students office is responsible for the administration of the University conduct process and ensuring that students’ rights are protected in the process.
