Leadership Engagement Requests

The Leadership Engagement Request process is used to request participation by the president, provost, and/or trustees in university and external events.

Requests should be submitted as far in advance as possible and at least 30 business days before the event to allow sufficient time for review, scheduling, and preparation. Requests submitted with less lead time may be accommodated only as schedules and preparation needs allow.

Process

Step 1: Submit a Leadership Engagement Request

Provide key information about the event, including its purpose, desired outcome, audience, requested leader role, and requested attendance window. Organizers will be notified once a decision is made.

Step 2: Complete the Leadership Engagement Preparation Form

If the request is approved, the event organizer will be asked to provide detailed planning information, such as the run-of-show, logistics, and speaking details. Submit this as soon as possible after approval and at least 15 business days before the event.

Requests for other university leaders

Requests involving cabinet members or other senior leaders should be coordinated directly with the appropriate office.
