Oakland University’s commitment to community engagement is woven throughout its history, mission and strategic vision. With ever-expanding efforts across academic programs, faculty-led research, service-learning and outreach, Oakland University collaborates with schools, hospitals, businesses, nonprofits, municipalities and other community partners in Michigan and beyond. Each relationship is rooted in mutual benefit: community partners receive solutions that support their mission while students, faculty and staff advance their academic, career or research goals.
