Summer at OU

In order to support the health and well-being of all our students during the COVID-19 pandemic, Oakland University will hold all summer classes remotely until at least June 30 (summer session I).

Although you may not be on campus during the first part of the summer semester, you can still take advantage of all the wonderful resources available to OU students, including remote learning guides, virtual tutoring, writing support, online workouts, stress management and more. Visit our official COVID-19 website for the most up-to-date resources and information.

We welcome guest students virtually this summer, and assure you that we are offering the courses you are interested in, especially those in math and science, remotely. You can still earn credits that easily transfer back to your university — credits that will keep you on track for graduation.

Important Notes

  • Registration is now open for current students. Upon registering, MySAIL will indicate summer classes are in-person — they are not, they are remote. Virtual assistance through email, IM or web conference is available as you register. Remember, you may be eligible for an OU scholarship, grant or other financial aid for the summer semester.

  • Registration for guest students begins April 3. You must first apply to the university and be accepted before registering.
