OU Medical Pathway Program

Students who have earned the required GPA (either high school GPA or transfer GPA from other higher education institutions) are eligible to apply to the program after being admitted to OU. 

• First-year students must possess a 3.7 or higher cumulative high school GPA. A student is considered a FTIAC if they have not attended any other higher education institution after their high school graduation.
• Transfer students must have earned a minimum 3.6 cumulative GPA at their previous institution(s).

Students who do not meet initial eligibility requirements may join the program by earning a minimum 3.6 cumulative GPA at Oakland University.

Medical Pathways participants who meet the following criteria will be guaranteed to receive an interview for admission to OUWB.  

• Possess a minimum 3.50 Biology, Chemistry, Physics, & Math (BCPM) GPA
• Score at least a 503 on the MCAT 
• Complete a minimum of 400 combined community service hours
• Have participated in the Medical Pathways program for a minimum of two full academic years
• Receive a recommendation from Medical Pathways adviser(s)

If the above criteria are met and the student’s application is received prior to September 1, they will receive their guaranteed interview invitation prior to November 1.
