Grizz Den

Oakland University’s gaming center, the Grizz Den (formerly the Bear Cave), is home to a wide
range of gaming and recreational opportunities. The amenities include:

  • Pool Tables (3)
  • Air Hockey
  • Foosball
  • Playstation 5 and Playstation 4
  • Xbox Series X and Xbox One
  • Nintendo Switch (2), including five docking stations to bring your own device
  • 24 Gaming PCs

Grizz Den eSports Policies

  • The Grizz Den is open to all currently enrolled OU students and OU faculty and staff with a valid Grizz Card 
  • Users of the Grizz Den must comply with all policies below, staff directives, and all other departmental, university, state and federal policies
  • Grizz Den PCs are to be used for approved gaming purposes only; all other use is prohibited
  • No one is to occupy a gaming station if not actively using a Grizz Den PC
  • All equipment in the Grizz Den, including hardware, peripherals, furniture, etc. is not to be relocated to another location in the Grizz Den or removed for any reason
  • No food is allowed in or around the Grizz Den PCs. Drinks are allowed, but must be in sealed, leak-proof containers, and cannot be placed on the desks
  • Bags and personal items must be stored under the desks and out of the way
  • Personal gear and peripherals are allowed, but must not show discriminatory or profane logos and decals
    • When using personal gear and peripherals, please do not attempt to remove the peripherals provided in the Grizz Den 
    • Personal peripherals are to be plugged in on the front of the Grizz Den PCs
  • Please check in at the Grizz Den desk prior to starting a gaming session 
    • Required to receive session time
  • Users are limited to two (2) hours of gaming per session. If there is no one waiting, users can sign up for an additional session.
  • No new gaming sessions are to be started less than 30 minutes prior to the close of the Grizz Den
  • Login using OU netID and password. Sharing of login information is strictly prohibited
  • At end of gaming session be sure to logout and ensure the PC has returned to the login screen

Code of Conduct

  • Harassment based on any aspect of a person’s identity will not be tolerated, directly or indirectly
  • Behaviors that create an intolerable environment such as bullying, threats of violence, stalking, or other forms of intimidation will not be tolerated
  • No excessive use of profane or otherwise offensive language
  • No cheating or illegal activity allowed
  • No sharing of login information
  • No downloading, sharing, or viewing of illicit content or materials on Grizz Den equipment
