First Year Advising Center
The First Year Advising Center fosters exploration and growth as new students transition to college. We provide tailored services and connections to campus resources that empower students to define their educational goals and achieve academic success.
FYAC at-a-glance:
- Why do I have a FYAC "hold" and what does it mean?
- It's important for students to meet with their adviser before registration for next year. Advisers will share valuable information about your major, provide course recommendations, and discuss your upcoming transition to your next academic advising unit.
- All first year students have a hold on their account until they meet with their adviser for the winter semester. The hold is removed during this required appointment. Students will not be able to register for courses until they meet with an adviser.
- To help you meet this requirement, we will have drop-in hours beginning March 20 through March 31.
- Check out the events at the bottom of the page!
