Mike Vogel is a proud graduate of Oakland University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and played varsity tennis. Since graduating, he has carved out a 30+ year career in advertising, starting on the ad agency side with large global firms before moving into the digital media space.

Along the way, he’s advised and operated within multiple start ups, been involved in taking a company public, and established himself as a recognized leader in the constantly evolving social media landscape.

He has held key roles at Twitter (now X) and Meta (formerly Facebook & Instagram) and currently serves as Senior Industry Manager at Reddit, where he leads automotive partnerships across the Eastern US. Mike and his team work closely with global brands like Ford, GM, Stellantis, VW, BMW, Porsche, Land Rover and Audi by helping them connect with modern car buyers on Reddit.

Vogel lives in Clarkston with his wife, two sons and two french bulldogs. He enjoys fishing, boating, golfing and rooting for the Detroit Lions. His guilty pleasure is playing Call of Duty with his long time college friends that he met during freshman orientation at Oakland University.

Vogel is excited to serve on the CJPR advisory council and is passionate about supporting and shaping the next generation of communications professionals.
