Gina Petherick received her Human Resource Development degree from Oakland University in 2000. Hard work, dedication and perseverance gave Gina the ability to complete her degree while maintaining other responsibilities
as wife, mother and friend to so many. The realization that God pursued and strengthened her through the hard times led to her commitment to following Jesus Christ the same year of her graduation, and her life has not been the same since. As she has come to understand love and grace, she has discovered that life’s real purpose is found in serving others. She has lived this through her family life, countless hours of
volunteering, as well as mission trips in the U.S. and abroad.
The Gina and Jeff Petherick Endowed Scholarship was created to help those pursuing a Human Resource Development degree, whose lives are guided by strong values and principles, and who possess a desire to love and serve
others less fortunate as they journey through life.
This non-renewable award is approximately $1,000-$2,000 and may vary year to year. The scholarship may be used for tuition and books.
