NEW for Enrolled Oakland Students!

Free 24/7 Mental Health Services

Student success and well-being are top priorities at Oakland University. The focus on mental health and wellness has intensified in recent years. Oakland is now providing an additional resource to help students with their health and well-being.

Uwill, a service providing FREE access to mental health crisis response 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year, is now a partner with Oakland and available to all enrolled OU students! This confidential, secure and private service is not a replacement for the University’s existing well-established range of mental health services but, rather it compliments them. Uwill has become the leading mental health and wellness solution for colleges and students.

For students facing a mental health emergency, Uwill offers access to a crisis connection phone number. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available 24/7/365 by calling 833-646-1526. For a medical emergency, call 911.

Students also have free access to on-demand wellness programming through Uwill’s easy-to-use online platform. A wide range of wellness options such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and more are available. Uwill helps students discover greater focus and balance as they navigate the semester and is a great compliment to therapy! Access Uwill online and choose wellness from the left navigation menu.

Students are encouraged to explore and tap into the services needed. Asking for help is a sign of wisdom, and nothing could be more appropriate in a learning environment. OU is here to support you!

For questions about the implementation and management of Uwill for Oakland University, please contact Dave Schwartz, Director of the OU Counseling Center at schwart3@oakland.edu.
