The Dean of Students Office performs a number of university-wide functions that promote and uphold the campus values of civility, personal integrity and academic excellence. In helping students practice these values, the Dean of Students Office helps create an educationally supportive environment and protects the well-being of the campus community.
The assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students oversees nine areas within the Division of Student Affairs, including the Dean of Students Office, Department of Campus Recreation, Center for Student Activities and Leadership Development, Center for Multicultural Initiatives, Divisional Technology, Student Technology Center, Veterans Support Services, Pre-College Programs and Project Upward Bound. Each area offers a broad range of programs and services to promote a positive campus life experience for students.
