OUSC Mission Statement
Oakland University Student Congress strives to represent the student body and increase pride and unity on campus through dynamic leadership, a commitment to diversity, and an ongoing devotion to the quality of university life. We aim to meet the needs and address the concerns of our fellow students and encourage students to voice their ideas to help us create the best possible "Oakland experience."
About OUSC
OUSC is made up of three branches: the executive branch, legislative branch and judicial branch. The executive branch is made up of elected officers, such as the president and vice president. The legislative branch is made up of 23 elected and 2 appointed legislators. The judicial branch consists of 5 justices appointed by the student body president and approved by the legislature.
During the Fall 2008 semester, Congress meetings will be held every Monday at 4 p.m. in the Oakland Room of the Oakland Center.
These meetings are free and open for all to attend. Free food is provided at each meeting. Come voice your concerns, thoughts and ideas!
