The Department of Human Development and Child Studies (HDCS) consists of two areas of study:

The mission is to provide an exceptional educational experience that promotes and celebrates educational excellence. Dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a supportive environment that facilitates learning and the development of students as they pursue their studies in these disciplines.

Teaching Opportunities

Occasionally, our department has opportunities for individuals with advanced degrees in education to teach undergraduate or graduate level courses or supervise practicum experiences. Persons interested in such opportunities are encouraged to submit their vita directly to us at swift@oakland.edu.  We thank you for your interest in advance.
