Dr. Toni Glover is a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, nurse researcher, and educator. Improving the care of older adults has been a consistent theme throughout her career. Since her appointment to the academy in 2013, she has focused on building a program of research centered on geriatric palliative care, including advance care planning and patient-provider communication. She is also interested in how, as an educator, we prepare nurses to provide primary palliative care. Dr. Glover created and led the Comfort Shawl Project, an experiential service learning immersion in palliative care for senior nursing students.
