Dr. Karen Dunn is an Associate Professor. Her program of research is in promoting wellness among older adult populations through the effective use of holistic self-care practices with an emphasis on spirituality, end-of-life care, and pain management. She is currently a co-investigator in a feasibility/pilot project to determine if a dog training program will create a healing environment and improve the holistic well-being of community-dwelling older adults while improving the adoptability of shelter dogs.
