Starting Off Right!!!
This new orientation event will be held from noon until 1:00 pm on September 25 and 26 in Pryale Hall. This "Not-for-Freshmen-Only" program will review the formal and invisible curriculums of psychology, the value of capstone courses, and means to obtain funding to support student research.
Careers in Psychology Workshop
The annual Careers in Psychology workshop will held on Saturday, October 13, from 9:00 am until noon in 204 O'Dowd Hall. This workshop focuses on the range of career opportunities for those holding a BA, MA, or PhD in Psychology.
How to Get Into Gradschool Workshop
The annual How to Get Into Gradschool Workshop will held on Saturday, February 9, 2007 from 9:00 am until noon. This workshop focuses on the strategies one might adopt to increase their changes of gaining access to graduate education in Psychology and related fields. Information concerning this very important event, including a registration form, can be obtained by clicking here.
These two workshops have been annual events for the past 20+ years. Look for the "Careers" workshop to be repeated in the Fall semesters and the "Grad School" workshop to be repeated in the Winter semesters. Until then, if you missed the workshops this year or simply would like to have PDF versions of the handouts, you may click to download the Careers packet and the Grad School Packets .
Information concerning the three programs briefly described above has been collected to create a single document summarizing these events. This document is available by clicking
