An estimate of the cost of attendance is established each year to assist students with planning for college expenses. While expenses vary depending on the level of enrollment and the lifestyle of the student, average costs are reflected in the estimated cost of attendance.  The estimated cost of attendance is used to award financial aid.

2012-2013 Fall and Winter Semesters Cost of Attendance:
The following costs are an estimate for the 2012-2013 fall and winter semesters based on full-time enrollment for students living on campus:

1. Tuition estimate is for full-time enrollment. Tuition is charged per credit hour.
2. Book and supply expenses vary depending on your course schedule. Students can purchase books through any book vendor including the Barnes and Noble at Oakland University Bookstore.
3. Housing costs vary depending on living arrangements. The off-campus housing budget is $7,060 for fall and winter semesters. For students living at home, the budget is $1,500.
4. Personal and miscellaneous expenses can include transportation, clothing, personal hygiene, telephone, meals not covered by a meal contract, etc. For students living off-campus or at home, the personal and miscellaneous expenses is $4,312 for undergraduate, 2nd degree, undergraduate & graduate preparatory coursework and teacher certification or $4,338 for graduate/professional/graduate and post masters certificate, and Graduate Physical Therapy. For Graduate Nurse Anethesia the personal and miscellaneous expenses is $5,014. For Graduate Executive MBA the personal and miscellaneous expenses is $2,612
