Please note that these are base charges for offenses. If furniture or rooms are severely damaged, charges will be determined by cost of repair or replacement.
Appeals for Recess and Break Closing Service Charges
There is a formal appeal structure for all service charges associated with holiday recesses and semester/session breaks. All charges can be appealed within 10 business days of the mailing date of the written notification of the charge(s). The appeal must be submitted in writing to the Residence Director of the appropriate building or complex.
Appeals for other University Housing Service Charges
There is a formal appeal structure for all service charges associated with damages to university property and/or assessment of repair and replacement costs to individual residents, floors or buildings. All charges can be appealed within 10 business days of the mailing date of the written notification of the charge(s). The appeal must be submitted in writing to the Residence Director of the appropriate building or complex.
