Workshops and Events
The ASC regularly offers workshops on various topics related to learning, studying, and academic success strategies. Each semester we offer workshops as part of our Discovery series on topics related to learning, studying, and academic success. Our workshops are free to OU students and are a great introduction to the kinds of support you can receive from a one-on-one coaching appointment.
In addition to the workshops we offer all OU students, we can bring learning strategies directly to the classroom! If you are a faculty member or campus leader interested in having us talk with your students, check out the topics below, then complete this visit request form or send us an email at [email protected].
Topics in our Discovery Series rotate each semester but will frequently include things like time management, note-taking methods, learning and study strategies. Registration for workshops is not required but is recommended. Go a step further and practice effective time management by adding the workshops to your calendar.
- Attend a Back on Track workshop (dates below)
- Meet with an academic adviser.
- Contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Schedule a meeting with an Academic Coach.
Back on Track Workshop
Join this one-time workshop to begin making a time management plan. Experience and practice a proven study strategy, such as active recall. The workshop will also highlight how to take advantage of relevant OU resources.
Two dates are available:
- Tuesday, January 20 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm, Virtual - Zoom Link Here (Password: ASC)
