An urban city on the water

Urban and Regional Studies minor

The Urban and Regional Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program that offers students a framework for understanding the theories, policy decisions, and context for the development of urban environments in the United States.

For students interested in careers in areas such as urban planning or government, the minor can provide guidance and preparation directly related to these fields.

The minor’s interdisciplinary nature and inclusion of knowledge from across the social sciences including sociology, economics, political science, and criminal justice, among other disciplines, also makes it a great program to pair with an array of majors that are indirectly related to its subject matter.
