Hailey Monroe

Coordinator of Employee & Student Well-Being, University Recreation & Well-Being
Hailey Monroe brings her passion for holistic well-being to Oakland University as the Coordinator of Employee & Student Well-Being. A proud alum of both the University of South Carolina Aiken (B.A. in Sociology, 2018) and Oakland University (Master of Public Health, 2020), Hailey blends a heart for community health with a strong foundation in wellness programming, leadership, and student engagement.
Before stepping into her current role, Hailey spent 4.5 years coordinating Fitness Programs & Services, overseeing a wide range of group fitness classes, instructor development, personal training services, and employee wellness offerings. She previously served as a Fitness Graduate Assistant with Rec Well, supporting assessment, program planning, and student staff supervision. Her commitment to health promotion also extends beyond campus; as a Health Education Intern with the Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities, she contributed to community-based initiatives focused on substance misuse prevention, public health education, and wellness outreach.
A lifelong learner—and a certified almost-everything—Hailey holds credentials in CPR/AED, First Aid, Group Fitness, Personal Training, Barre Intensity, WERQ Dance Fitness, and Soul Purpose & Spiritual Life Coaching. She is passionate about creating inclusive, meaningful wellness experiences that support the whole person, from physical activity and mental well-being to spiritual growth and personal development.
Known for her warm energy, collaborative spirit, and belief that well-being should be accessible and enjoyable, Hailey is dedicated to helping the campus community thrive inside and out. When she’s not championing well-being initiatives, you’ll find her spending intentional, joy-filled time with her growing family, staying active, and embracing the balance she inspires others to cultivate.
