With more than seventeen years of service to OU and a career spanning multiple powerhouse departments, Jill Lawson brings expertise and precision to Rec Well’s financial and business operations. A proud Michigan State University graduate, Jill has built a reputation as a strategic, detail-driven leader who keeps complex processes running smoothly and our team moving forward.

Jill began her Rec Well journey as the Office Manager, mastering financial processes from journal vouchers and P-card audits to bid documents, requisitions, and credit-card reconciliations. Before that, she served as a Transfer Specialist in the Registrar’s Office, maintaining OU’s transfer articulation library and coordinating transcript evaluations. She also supported the School of Business Administration’s ACHIEVE and Scholars programs in their launch year, helping coordinate key professional development activities.

Her foundation in campus recreation and athletics began at the University of Michigan, where she managed student-employment budgets, supervised large student teams, coordinated CPR and lifeguard instructors, and supported major athletic ticketing operations—including bowl games and NCAA Championship events

A recipient of multiple honors—including the MACRAO Outstanding Support Staff Team Award, the MACRAO Outstanding Transfer Program Award, and OU’s Sharon Wilhelm Award of Excellence—Jill is known for her commitment to service, collaboration, and operational integrity. She is fluent in Fusion, Paciolan, RecTrac, and Banner, and she brings a calm, solution-oriented presence to every project.

When she’s not keeping Rec Well’s financial world in perfect order, Jill enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing up north, and cheering on the University of Michigan football team.
