Student Development Coordinator, University Recreation & Well-Being

Jenn Budrow is all about building strong, skilled, and confident student leaders. With a B.S. in Human Resource Development (with a minor in Training & Development) and a Master of Training and Development focused on Instructional Design and Organizational Leadership—both from Oakland University—she brings a powerhouse blend of creativity, strategy, and student-centered expertise to Rec Well. Her background allows her to design programs that not only engage students but also equip them with real-world skills for leadership, collaboration, and professional growth.

Before joining the team, Jenn spent seven years with University Housing as the Recruitment Manager, where she led campus housing recruitment, managed 16 social media accounts, maintained 20+ web pages, and crafted content aligned with OU’s brand. She developed and facilitated staff training, redesigned student training programs, built assessments to strengthen onboarding, and supported hiring and talent development across the department. Her work helped shape a more connected, informed, and engaged residential student experience while fostering a culture of mentorship and continuous improvement.

Jenn got her start as a Marketing Graduate Assistant, supervising Housing Ambassadors, coordinating large-scale recruitment events, shaping departmental marketing efforts, and creating new student employment roles to better reach residential students. These experiences sharpened her passion for mentorship, communication, and creating meaningful pathways for student success.

A proud double OU alumna and current AP Association President (2023–2026), Jenn loves leveraging her background in design, facilitation, and student development to help Rec Well staff grow, lead, and thrive. When she’s not supporting students, you’ll find her relaxing at home with her husband and their two beloved cat children.
