Course Structure The course is highly interactive, uses a “learn by doing” approach, and creates a high energy positive learning environment addressing cognitive and behavioral skills. The class consists of short lecture presentations followed by discussion or exercises performed as a class or small groups with report and discussion. As individuals students complete exercises between classes, which are shared and/or discussed in class. The purpose of the exercises is to apply the principles from the lectures to learn by doing. Every exercise includes a specially formatted worksheet (usually a single page) to organize results for reporting, consolidating, and comparing.
