2026-27 Scholarship applications are open December 1 – March 1. Search and apply for more than 300 OU scholarships, including over 75 SEHS scholarships.

Award Who Qualifies Application Process Application Deadline
Cayla Rose Carr Memorial Award in Literacy Education Full or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in the Department of Teaching and Learning pursuing a degree, or endorsement, in literacy; minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required. Select 10 book titles in children’s literature (e.g., picture books, early chapter books, board books, movable books or YA novels) for your future or current classroom. Five of these titles must be award winning from the American Library Association (ALA). Write a 250-word essay that describes your reasons for selecting these books, what you hope children in your classroom will learn from them and the potential impact of this award in building your library collection. Email your essay, book list and price list to Dr. Jason Moore. March 31, 2026
Connie and Tom Barr Classroom Library Endowment Fund Eligible SEHS students Eligible students will receive an email outlining the application process and required materials. March 31, 2026
Student Teacher
Mini-Grants
Student teaching interns and mentors who intend to use funds from the award (up to $200) during the semester of their internship. Applications must come from an intern and mentor teacher pair and should explain how and when the funds will be used; why the funds are needed; and what outcomes or impacts are anticipated. For more information, review the Student Resources web page on the Teaching and Learning website. September 15 (fall semester) or January 15 (winter semester) for the term you are teaching.

 

Students admitted to teacher preparation programs in the School of Education and Human Services will use Student Learning & Licensure to complete key program assessments, log clinical hours, collect feedback during Student Teaching and prepare their professional portfolios.
