Proper identification must be shown at all times when entering the Rec Center. Rec Well staff reserve the right to ask for additional forms of identification at any time. Proper identification includes:
- OU GrizzCard
- Rec Center Key Fob
- OU Rec Well App
A parent or legal guardian, who is a member of the Rec Center, must enter the facility with their children under 18 years old and must accompany their children under 16 years old at all times in the facility.
- Children 7 years old and younger should be within an arm’s length of their parent or guardian in the same area of the facility.
- Children 8-15 years old must be supervised by a parent or guardian in the same activity area.
- Children under 16 years old may not use the spa, fitness center, or be present during personal training sessions.
- Children ages 16-17 with memberships must enter the facility with a parent or legal guardian member, but do not need to be accompanied by that individual at all times while using general recreational space. However, the parent or legal guardian must remain in the Rec Center during the child’s visit. These children are able to participate in fitness classes and may swim. However, children ages 16 and 17 need to be accompanied by an adult when using the fitness center.
Parents or guardians are expected to be in a position to provide adequate supervision at all times.
Unsafe or inappropriate behavior will result in the child being asked to leave the activity area.
Non-participant entry into the Rec Center for things such as tours does not require the purchase of a guest pass. However, some rental groups may choose the option to allow spectator fees. When rental groups choose to allow spectator fees, this choice will be put in writing to the group renting facility space. The organization renting and teams participating will be expected to communicate the entry requirements to the participants and spectators within the organization. In all cases some form of ID and sign-in may be necessary.
Day passes allow non-members access to the facility either through the purchase of a daily pass at a rate of $15 per day. Day passes are valid only at the time of purchase and expire the next day.
It is a violation of Rec Well policy to fraudulently enter the Rec Center by using another person's GrizzCard or Rec Center issued Key Fob. It also is a violation to give your GrizzCard or Rec Center issued Key Fob for the purpose of allowing them to enter the Rec Center.
Both parties involved (person whose name appears on the ID and the person attempting to enter) will receive an automatic suspension of the student/member’s Rec Center privileges until they have had a meeting with the Assistant Director of Facilities and Member Services.
