Sheila Brooks

Sheila Brooks graduated from Oakland University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Honors College graduate and in 2008 with a Master of Accounting. As a student, Sheila was active in various clubs & organizations including Vandenberg House Council, Association of Black Students, Lighthouse Ministries, Beta Alpha Psi, OASIS (Oakland Accounting Student Information Society), and founding president of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Student Chapter at OU.

After graduation, Sheila started her career in public accounting as an external auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers. After 2 years in public accounting, Sheila transitioned to corporate accounting where she has worked in various industries such as home building, corporate consulting and automotive.  Currently, Sheila is a Senior Accountant at TI Fluid Systems in Auburn Hills, MI.

As an alumna, Sheila takes pride in her efforts to stay connected to Oakland University. As a former recipient of the award, Sheila returns to campus annually to attend the Keeper of the Dream Award scholarship ceremony, attends homecoming every year with her family, volunteers as an Alumni Admissions Ambassador and has served as a Leadership OU mentor.
