The First Year Advising Center fosters exploration and growth as new students transition to college. We provide tailored services and connections to campus resources that empower students to define their educational goals and achieve academic success.

Have questions about your winter schedule? Drop-in to chat with an adviser in-person OR via phone at (248) 370-3227. We'll be here (Monday - Friday) on the following days and times with no appointment needed:
- Monday, January 5 - Tuesday, January 13: 9 am - 4 pm
- Wednesday, January 14 - Tuesday, January 20: 11 am - 4 pm (OU closed January 19 for MLK holiday)
- Winter required appointments start on January 21, 2026. All students must meet with their adviser before registration for the 2026-2027 academic year opens in late March. A hold will be placed on your account, and you will not be able to register or withdraw from any courses until this requirement is met. Appointment availability will be added to the scheduling system starting January 15, 2026.
