Midterm Grades

Midterm Grades offer you a mid-semester checkpoint so you know how you are doing academically.

Think of a midterm grade as your helpful status update  – a progress report that gives you a clear picture of how you’re performing by the midpoint of your course. It’s important for you to remember the following when you receive your midterm grades.

Not Your Final Grade
Midterm grades are temporary snapshots of your current standing. They’re designed to inform and guide you, but will not be on your transcript.

Progress Indicator
These grades reflect your performance on assignments completed by mid-term, giving you valuable insight into areas where you’re excelling or need improvement.

Consider the Context
Your midterm grade depends on course structure, graded assignments so far, and grade weighting. Some courses frontload assignments while others save major points for later.

Room to Grow
Remember that significant portions of your grade may still be ahead. Use this checkpoint to strategize and maximize your potential in the remaining weeks.
