Leadership Initiatives
The Galileo Institute offers seminars, workshops and learning experiences designed for educators at every stage of their leadership journey to address the myriad of challenges and build networks of support in an evolving educational landscape.
Series of Leadership Workshops
- A Professional Tune-Up: Systematically examining your building or district’s strengths and challenges, the response of your leadership team, and your personal leadership skills which support each.
- Leading with Civility — Building Cohesive Community Relationships with Your School District: Facilitated by Dr. David Dulio, distinguished professor of political science and director of the Center for Civic Engagement at Oakland University.
Leadership Labs — SchoolSims
We offer simulation-based experiential learning for K–12 professional development and higher education curriculums. Recent simulations include School Board Relations, Cell Phone, Social Media and Integrity in the Community.
Leadership Seminars
Recent leadership seminars include Finance in Uncertain Time, presented by Dr. Shannon Flumerfelt, associate professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership and endowed professor in the Pawley Lean Institute.
