Version Control

The suggested tool for version control(repository) in our environment is GIT.

Setting up GIT

Windows

  • You need a public_html folder in your H drive:



  • You'll Nee to download and install GIT:






NOTE: You may get a security pop-up, click OK or YES to continue.




  • Enter the path to your H:\public_html\ (the GIT will be added automatically)

Linux

Allowing Access to others

Windows

  • If you're working in a group or would simply like to share your directory with other users you may do so by adding them to the permissions on the GIT folder that was created during setup
