Biography:
He came to Oakland University from a faculty position at Southern Illinois University. He was Chair of the Department of Economics from 1985 until 1993. He has been the Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration since 2006. His research interests include econometric methodology, time series analysis and applied economics. He has published in the area of statistical theory, demography and macroeconomics. His publications have appeared in such journals as the Journal of Macroeconomics, Southern Economic Journal, and the Journal of Economic Development. In addition, he has recently co-edited a book entitled The Economic Legacy of the Reagan Years: Euphoria or Chaos? His research has been supported by Oakland University Research Fellowships and other university grants. His research is currently being supported by a National Science Foundation grant to study how computers can be used to teach business statistics effectively.
