Bio:
I worked at Deloitte LLP (including its predecessor firm Touche Ross) upon graduation in 1976.  I started in the Audit Dept (now referred to as Assurance) before transferring to Tax in 1979.  I attained the position of Partner in 1986, and continued in that role until my retirement in 2016.  During my time with Deloitte my primary duties included overall responsibility for tax services to a diverse set of clients, including high net worth individuals, privately held partnerships and corporations, and publicly traded corporations.  Upon my retirement in 2016, I took a position as Adjunct Professor at Oakland University, where I continue to teach Accounting and Tax.

Teaching interests:
My goal is to help prepare students to hit the ground running on the first day of their career in Accounting and/or Tax.  My courses focus on the technical areas that are most relevant in the day-to-day challenges of those professions.  In addition, I strive to add as many practical non-technical observations that are most beneficial in enabling our students to achieve their career goals.

Other Relevant Activities and Certifications:
I have continuously maintained my active Certified Public Accountant certificate to this day. I also serve currently or previously on a number of boards and charitable endeavors.
