Online Student Complaint Procedure for Out-of-State Students
Step 1: Out-of-state online students enrolled in Oakland University online courses or degree programs should attempt to resolve any issues or complaints directly with Oakland University. The process for filing a complaint can be found in the Student Code of Conduct.
Step 2: If an issue cannot be resolved internally, you may file a complaint with the Michigan Portal Entity, Michigan Dept. of Labor and Economic Opportunity. Contact information is also found can also be found on the NC-SARA State Portal Entity contact web page, in the Michigan section.
Step 3: If an issue cannot be resolved with the Michigan Portal Entity then you may file a complaint with your state portal entity. State Portal Entity contact information can also be found on the NC-SARA website.
