Why I joined the board: As a parent of two Oakland University Honors College Alumni, I was able to observe the special opportunities afforded to Honors College and Oakland University students: special Honors College classes, scholarships, research projects, national competitions, internships and great professors. The Honors College is extremely fortunate to have many of the best students from all disciplines. When you place so many talented students in an environment which provides the tools for them to challenge themselves, learn, and make a difference, it’s exciting to be around, and a privilege to support.
