The police department feels that it is safe to return to normal operations. The campus lockdown is lifted, with the exception of Van Wagoner.

    • Height: 5 Feet 8 Inches - 5 feet 10 inches
    • Complexion: Dark
    • Hair Style: Chin-length dreadlocks
    • Clothing: Black North Face jacket
    • Footwear: White shoes
    • Suspect Mode of Travel: By Vehicle
    • Suspect Vehicle: Dark colored SUV
  • Suspect 2 Information:
    • Sex: Male
    • Age: Early 20s
    • Complexion: Dark
    • Hair Style: Curly hair
    • Clothing: Camo jacket with a black hood
    • Footwear: Black shoes
    • Suspect Mode of Travel: By Vehicle
    • Suspect Vehicle: Dark colored SUV

Victim, who was not a student, suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to McLaren.

Counseling is available to students through UWIll. Graham Counseling Center will be available to students starting at 8 a.m. on Friday. 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT INFORMATION

If you are the victim of an aggravated assault:

  • Seek medical attention as needed.
  • Report it to the OUPD.

To help reduce the risk of an assault:

  • Be aware of verbal and body language indicating an escalating conflict.
  • Be cognizant of your personal space to allow yourself time to react.
  • Disengage from conflict whenever possible and get to a place of safety.
  • De-escalate a conflict, if possible, by remaining calm, listening and speaking respectfully, and explaining that you understand the point of view being expressed.
