Accommodate Portal

The Oakland University Accommodate platform, implemented in Winter 2026, streamlines and centralizes the academic accommodation process.

If your accommodations have already been approved, please use the below link to log in to your Accommodate account. This account will be used to request your accommodations for the semester, book a testing room for quizzes and exams, schedule appointments with your DSS adviser, and review your information related to your accommodations.

Student Accommodate Portal

Students need to submit a Semester Request each semester to your approved accommodations in your courses.

  1. Log into Accommodate using your Oakland email and password.
  2. On the left side menu, select Accommodation. Then select the option that says Semester Request
  3. On the Semester Request page, click the Add New button.
  4. Select the appropriate semester from the Semester drop-down menu. For example, if you are an undergraduate student activating your accommodations for Fall 2026, select “Fall 2026” from the drop-down menu.
  5. After you have selected the semester, the classes for which you are enrolled should pop up on the right side of the screen. At the top of your list of courses, click the Submit For All Accommodations button. Alternatively, you can Review the Renewal to remove accommodations that are no longer needed for the semester.
  6. After submitting your Semester Request, you will be automatically redirected to the previous screen, where the accommodations you just submitted for renewal are displayed. Our office will review your Semester Request and will then renew your accommodations for the semester, typically within 24 to 48 hours.
  7. To view your letters, select Accommodation on the left side menu. Then select Accommodation Letters, followed by Letters. You have the option to print or generate a PDF of the Academic Accommodation Letter. You will share your letter with your professors each semester.

If you have any questions, please reach out to DSS at (248) 370-3266 or by email, [email protected].

Testing room booking requests MUST be made at least 72 hours (three days) before the test date. Final exams requests MUST be made at least 120 hours (five days) before the final exam. We encourage you to schedule all your exams at the start of the semester so that you do not miss the scheduling deadline. If you miss the scheduling window, we may not have space available, and you may need to take your quiz/exam in the classroom and not receive your accommodations for that particular quiz/exam.

  1. Log into Accommodate using your Oakland email and password.
  2. Select the Testing Room option from the left menu.
  3. Click the New Booking Request button at the bottom left of the Testing Appointments page.
  4. Select the course you have a test in from the Course drop down menu and click the Next Step button.
  5. Next, Select a Date from the calendar that is presented. You should book the test for the same day the rest of your class is testing.
  6. Finally, Select a Space (DSS Test Center) and Request the Time. If you need to test at an alternate time, you need to get permission from your instructor. You will need to provide acknowledgement from your instructor that you can test at a different time.
  7. After selecting the Request button, the Confirm Exam Booking window will open. You can deselect any accommodations you won’t need and confirm that you are testing at the same time as your class. You can also add additional Notes, if needed. When you are ready, click the Submit Request button at the bottom of the window. NOTE: If you have back-to-back classes and are approved for an extended time accommodation, you may need to schedule your exam at an alternate time so that you do not miss class. Please share that in the “Additional Notes” section before submitting your request.
  8. After you submit the request, you will be returned to the Testing Appointments page of your student portal and the request you just submitted will be shown in the Pending Requests section. You have now finished submitting a test request. The Disability Support Services office will review the request, and you will receive an automated email after the booking is confirmed.

If you have any questions, please reach out to DSS at (248) 370-3266, or by email, [email protected].
