Diploma Information
Oakland University provides a free standard-size diploma (frame not included) to each student after graduation. Diplomas are mailed to the graduate approximately 4-6 weeks after the conferral of the degree.
Effective September 6, 2023, OU began offering a simple and secure way to order replacement and additional diplomas. The following services are available online through our official diploma vendor, the Michael Sutter Company:
- Order a diploma replacement or additional copies
- $30 per copy plus shipping
- Check on the Status of your original diploma or diploma replacement order
- Notary services
If the name on the diploma request does not match the name on your original diploma, you may get notified by email to submit a name change form.
Please note that all diploma orders must come directly from the alumnus and not anyone submitting on behalf of the alumnus.

*Graduates with unpaid financial obligations may have a hold placed on their diploma and transcript until the debt is resolved.
