Visit our office, attend our events and land the job! We’re here to give you the tools to succeed in your professional career.

Career Studio

Drop-in to our Career Studio to work with a Career Ambassador on your career-related tasks. We’re here to help you get started, make final touches or even just ask a few questions. Work with us as soon as inspiration hits to get answers to a small question or to receive in the moment consultation as you create the perfect resume, cover letter or profile!

Career Ambassadors can help with: 

  • Developing or reviewing a resume and/or cover letter
  • Social media and LinkedIn branding
  • Preparing for the career fair
  • Getting ready for an interview
  • Completing your Handshake profile and other Handshake related topics

We recommend that you bring your own equipment (i.e. laptop) in order to get the full Career Studio experience! By doing so, you can work in real-time on your resume, profile or cover letter with the help of a Career Ambassador.

No appointment is required- just drop-in during Career Studio hours!

December 10 - 14: Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
December 17 - 21:

Tuesday & Thursday: 1 - 4 p.m.

Monday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Thursday:  10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Not on campus during Career Studio hours? No problem, we can help you during the studio hours listed above no matter where you are! Using your email account, simply send an email to with any career questions you have. Be sure to attach to the email any documents that go along with the question.

The best way to get the most out of our office is to schedule an appointment. We are trained to assist you with any and all of your career-related questions. Make an appointment online via Handshake.

Scheduling Instructions

1) Login to your Handshake account

2) Click “Career Center” in the navigation bar and select “Appointments”

3) Select “Schedule a New Appointment” at the top of the page

4) Select your school or college. Contact us if you do not know your school or college

5) Select the type of appointment that best fits your needs

6) Browse the available appointment slots and click on the one you would like to schedule. Not seeing the staff member you’re looking for? Narrow the appointments by consultant using the drop-down option in the upper right hand corner labeled “Staff Member”

7) Click on the appointment time that you’re interested in scheduling

8) Tell us about upcoming interviews or any questions you might have in the “What can we help you with?” section

9) Click “Request” and you’re all set! Remember to keep an eye out for any emails regarding your appointment

What kind of appointment do I need

First-Time Visitor: Undergraduate students visiting Career Services for the first time are required to meet with a member of the Career Ambassador Team. Career Ambassadors are trained members of the Career Services Team prepared to offer guidance on resumes, career fair preparation, social media, Handshake and more!

Resume/Cover Letter Review: Provides feedback and suggestions to strengthen your resume or cover letter. Be sure to bring a paper copy of your resume or cover letter if you schedule this type of appointment.

LinkedIn/Social Media Branding: Work with a Career Services team member to create a killer LinkedIn profile that will help you build connections and leverage LinkedIn as a networking tool. Please be sure to bring your updated resume to the appointment!

Job Search: Need help with creating a job search strategy? Would you like to learn more about resources available for conducting an effective search or strategies for negotiating job offers? Meet with a member of the Career Services team for tips on how to take your job search strategy to the next level.

Career Fair Preparation: Meet with a member of the Career Services team to prepare for an upcoming career fair. During this appointment you will work on targeting and researching potential employers, elevator pitch and how to navigate the event.

Gaining Career-Related Experience: Meet with a member of the Career Services team to create an effective internship search strategy, identify ways to gain meaningful experiences and relevant skills, and negotiate internship offers and timelines.

Mock Interview/Interview Preparation: Practice your interview skills with a member of the Career Services Team. During this appointment you will practice responding to sample interview questions, build upon your behavioral interviewing skills, and identify strategies to help you make a positive impression on an employer.

Alumni Career Coaching: Meet with a member of the Career Services team for resume review, mock interviews, job search strategies and more! Be sure to bring an updated copy of your resume.

Note: Career Ambassadors are not available during the summer semester. You should schedule with a career consultant at this time.
