DR. BILL SOLOMONSON

Dr. Bill Solomonson is Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership. His research interests include the client-consultant relationship, organizational performance improvement, and equity in education. Dr. Solomonson’s primary professional affiliation is with the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), for which he has been a journal peer reviewer for Performance Improvement Quarterly and a certification reviewer for the Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) designation. Additionally, he has served as Chair of the ISPI Research Committee, Chair of the Thomas F. Gilbert Distinguished Professional Achievement Award Committee, and Chair of the Academic Guild. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for ISPI as well as a former member of the Steering Committee for the Alliance for Excellence in Online Education (A4EOE). He is currently President of the Board of Directors for the Buddhist Society for Compassionate Wisdom North America. He has been nominated for both the Oakland University Honors College Inspiration Award and the Senate Committee on Teaching and Learning Teaching Excellence Award. In 2016, he was awarded the Distinguished Online Faculty Award from the Alliance for Excellence in Online Education and in 2020 received the Oakland University Team Award. He has consulted with Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Audi, Volkswagen, Chrysler, Delphi, Henry Ford Health Systems, Siemens, US Army, Wayne State University, Beaumont Hospitals, Kellogg’s, Fiat, Raytheon, and others.
