  • Taught at Wayne State University and University of Detroit, came to teach at Oakland University in 1985
  • Spent a year consulting at Cranfield University in England in 1989
  • Involved in a program evaluation business for public school districts, nonprofit organizations, district and circuit courts, and local governments
  • Served as a program director for Community Resource and Assistance Center, a Detroit nonprofit organization
  • Served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations
  • Author of over 20 articles and books, including publications on UK local government and politics as well as American politics.  Has published with David Dulio, associate professor of political science at OU.
