Oakland University provides its live-in students with completely wireless Internet access in the Residence Halls and both wired and wireless access in the University Student Apartments. In order to use the wireless network in both the Residence Halls and the University Student Apartments, students will need to make sure that any computer they bring with them has wireless capabilities (802.11g standard). If a student is living in the University Student Apartments and wishes to connect to the wired network then their computer must contain a network card and Cat5e Ethernet cable.
