The 2027–28 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available at studentaid.gov/fafsa. Be sure to include OU’s School Code, 002307, on your FAFSA.
Current and prospective Oakland University students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible to determine their eligibility for federal, state and institutional financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and the Federal Work-Study Program.
“The FAFSA is what makes students eligible for funding to help pay for college, including the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, which 62% of this year’s freshman class qualified for, and the Golden Guarantee, which is a tuition-free pathway for eligible students,” said Nicole Boelk, OU’s director of Financial Aid and Scholarships. “Now is the time to complete the 2027–28 FAFSA so that OU can provide students with timely financial aid offers, long before the Fall 2027 semester begins.”
Current and prospective OU undergraduate and graduate students who need assistance completing the FAFSA can contact or visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to speak with an adviser or register for a virtual FAFSA Workshop.
OUWB medical students who need assistance renewing their FAFSA can contact OUWB Financial Services.
For more information about the FAFSA or assistance with completing the application, contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at (248) 370-2550 or finaid@oakland.edu.
