he Arts at Noon concert series will take place once a month on Thursdays at noon in Varner Recital Hall on the OU campus.
Oakland University students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to take a break in the middle of their Thursday and discover the incredible talent of OU’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance during “Arts at Noon,” a new monthly concert series featuring student instrumentalists and vocalists.
“Our ‘Arts at Noon’ series brings student musicians to the beautiful Varner Recital Hall at 12 p.m. for a 45-minute performance,” said Dr. Alta Marie Boover, associate professor of voice at OU. “These lunch hour performances are a wonderful way to connect, relax, and be inspired.”
The series will take place once a month on Thursdays at noon in Varner Recital Hall on the OU campus. Performances free and are open to the entire campus community.
“’Arts at Noon’ is intended to offer our campus community a chance to come together in the middle of the day for a short while to enjoy a short concert,” Boover said. “We hope, too, that it will inspire everyone to take a look at our season calendar for the Arts at Oakland University. We have over 150 offerings across Music, Theatre and Dance, Film, Art, Art History and Design.”
